Audi has hosted a Design UNIverse event in Ingolstadt as part of its plan to support the next generation of automotive designers. 42 student designers from four European universities were challenged to create models of a futuristic Audi that embodies the idea of "Vorsprung Durch Technik" while working closely with designers and discussing trends and how to create emotional products. It consists of a 60 minute driving assessment, including advice on what action to take after the assessment. With the IAM keen to stress that the evaluation is not a formal test, the 60-minute drive with an IAM-approved assessor allows candidates to drive in their own vehicle taking routes that they are familiar with.
